Casino Volunteers Needed!

Did you know 40% of our funding comes from Casinos? Every 18 months, the KGCA applies to be eligible to work two days at a Casino. From those funds, we can obtain upwards of $67,000. We use this funding to maintain the community centre and run free programming for residents.

 In the spring, we will participate in another casino. It is a fun event to volunteer alongside other residents and meet a new neighbour! If you want to give back in the new year, we are looking for volunteers. Please sign up using the link below:

Event Coordinator

Let’s make Killarney vibrant! Come help us plan some creative events.

We are searching for an enthusiastic Events Lead with a "can-do" attitude to assist our team. The Events Lead will be tasked with planning and managing the events, as well as working closely with our marketing team to help promote them. Your creativity, organizational skills, and vision will assist our team to create some memorable experiences for our community.

Aside from knowing how to have fun, the ideal candidate for this role should demonstrate good organizational abilities, interpersonal skills, multi-tasking skills, and effective time-management.

  • Events Lead Responsibilities:

  • Brainstorming and implementing event plans and concepts.

  • Handling budgeting and invoicing.

  • Liaising with restaurants and residents.

  • Developing event feedback survey questions.

  • Obtaining permits.

  • Handling post-event reports.
