Community Projects

Community Associations can provide support to local initiatives on project planning, budgeting and communications.  If you have something you would like to lead, email our General Manager to get connected

Small Projects (<$600):

Do you have an idea for how to connect your neighbours?  Improvements to a green space, a mural, organise a bike tune-up day, offer a free class, create a pop-up event?  There are grants available up to $600 to help support resident led initiatives.  Let us know if you apply and how we can support you getting the word out!

Some examples of historical small projects include:

  • 2017: Artist mural of community capturing what residents love (hung in the hall)

  • 2014: Painting of electrical boxes on 26th ave

Medium ($10k) and Large (>$125k) Projects:

If you have an idea on leading a larger change, come chat to us.  KGCA can be your umbrella organisation, and plays a role in supporting large projects in the community to help get maximum grant funding.

  • 2020: Capital improvements to Killarney Community Centre

  • 2018: Landscaping of Killarney Community Garden
