help us to build the new kGCA playground!

Celebrating 75 years of community and looking to the future.

For generations, the Killarney-Glengarry Community Association has been a cornerstone of Calgary’s southwest. A place where families connect, kids grow, and neighbours become friends. As our neighbourhood continues to evolve, we want to ensure our outdoor spaces evolve with it.

That’s why we’re launching the KGCA Playground Redevelopment Project, a community-driven initiative to redesign and rebuild our aging playground into a vibrant, inclusive, and safe destination for families. The new playground will feature modern, accessible equipment, engaging play elements, and gathering spaces designed to encourage exploration, creativity, and active living for children of all ages

Our new playground project has an estimated total cost of $550,000. We’re working hard to secure funding through grants, community support, sponsorships, and fundraising - but donations from neighbours like you are a key part of making it happen. Every contribution brings us closer to breaking ground in 2027

Your support will help us create a space where today’s children and generations to come can learn, play, and grow right here in Killarney.

Together, we can build something that lasts another 75 years.

Why we need a new playground

The current playground is outdated and nearing the end of its lifespan.

Hundreds of new families are moving into Killarney every year — our existing space no longer meets the community’s needs.

Modern playgrounds encourage imaginative, physical, and social play, helping children build skills for life.

A revitalized park becomes a hub for connection, supporting community events, playdates, and neighbourly engagement.
